Inspiration Behind the Bella Design: I grew up a gymnast and spent many years carrying around my gym bag to and from practice. This bag is a reflection on my younger self and the years I spent working on new tricks and skills in the gym with all my teammates and our braids, ponytails and million barrettes in our hair! It’s a reminder to keep working hard and perfecting new skills at any age!

Inspiration Behind the Lining: I left my hometown of nearly 50 years for the Virgin Islands on a journey to “find myself again.” People use maps to chart their course; to re-route when they get off course and to guide them along their journey to the goal of their final destination. The Caribbean has become my happy place; it is where I’ve found freedom to be “me” and chart my own course again on this journey called “life.” The Ola Kala Lining is a reminder to look within; dream big; take risks and set your course for your journey to finding serenity.
