Inspiration Behind the Emilia Design: The Emilia was inspired by “girl-time” and those fun sleepovers as little girls to the now much needed girls’ weekends that we all can enjoy! I have met so many amazing women over the course of my life and have had the pleasure of calling so many of them my friends and enjoying many getaways with them! This bag celebrates all of them!

Inspiration Behind the Lining: I left my hometown of nearly 50 years for the Virgin Islands on a journey to “find myself again.” People use maps to chart their course; to re-route when they get off course and to guide them along their journey to the goal of their final destination. The Caribbean has become my happy place; it is where I’ve found freedom to be “me” and chart my own course again on this journey called “life.” The Ola Kala Lining is a reminder to look within; dream big; take risks and set your course for your journey to finding serenity.
